Educational Qualification
CTET Primary Level (Class I to V)
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under any recognized name). OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under any recognized name), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)
Graduation and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under any recognized name). OR
At least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). OR
Graduation with at least 45% marks and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time. OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
Any candidate who has qualified in a B.Ed. program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in the TET/CTET. Furthermore, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated via the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, any individual pursuing a teacher education course recognized by either the NCTE or the RCI (as specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010) is qualified to appear in the TET/CTET. OR
Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and has either passed or is appearing in the final year of a 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
